Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the third installment to Nintendo and Monolith Soft's massive open-world RPG series, has recently revealed the release date for this upcoming title, and it will be arriving sooner than many have predicted. Previously, there have been rumors that the game would have been delayed until 2023, but surprisingly, the release date has actually been pushed forward and will be released during the summer.  The announcement was made around 9 AM EST with a new video uploaded to the official Nintendo YouTube Channel, along with posts made over on the usual social media channels such as Twitter.

This announcement trailer focuses on various scenes featuring the main protagonist, Noah as he tries to figure out why monsters are being summoned to pursue him and his friends. As the game's trailer proceeds, viewers will be able to witness combat sequences featuring up to seven party members, which is a first in the series, as they form up and battle against several enemies on screen. They also reveal a new technique known as the Ouroboros form, which allows party members to transform into oversized purple entities to turn the tide of battle. Lastly, as the trailer teases several key storyline elements, the release date for the game was revealed on July 29th, 2022.

The reception to the reveal trailer has been very positive, as many fans have previously expected the game's release to be delayed, as mentioned above. Along with all the newly teased gameplay features, fans are now more hopeful than ever that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be a worthwhile experience while connecting the storyline of the previous two titles. Also revealed alongside the trailer is the announcement of a special edition set, which will launch exclusively on the My Nintendo Store.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be released on July 29th, 2022 for Nintendo Switch.
