The 2022 NFL Pro Bowl rosters are set and, as always, there are some notable omissions from the squads that have people up in arms. While not every good player can make the Pro Bowl because of the limited spots, there are still some players who deserve to be more than an alternate. So, who are those players? Lucky for you, we broke down the biggest 2022 NFL Pro Bowl snubs and ranked them from ten to one.

The Ten Biggest 2022 NFL Pro Bowl Snubs

10. Jeffery Simmons | DT | Tennessee Titans

2021 stats: 38 solo tackles, 7.5 sacks

Should have been chosen over: DeForest Buckner — 32 solo tackles, 6.5 sacks

We start with the least egregious of all of the 2022 NFL Pro Bowl snubs, as this one was close statistically. We gave the edge to Simmons not only because of the extra sack, but because his run defense has been superior.

9. Roquon Smith | LB | Chicago Bears

2021 stats: 81 solo tackles, three sacks, one interception, one touchdown

Should have been chosen over: Bobby Wagner — 88 solo tackles, one sack, one interception, zero touchdowns

Wagner got the nod here because he is a veteran and had a year that not many expected him to have but putting him on instead of Smith is downright criminal. Not only did Smith affect the passer much more than Wagner did as a Blitzer, but he is also the better player in coverage.

8. Harold Landry | OLB | Tennessee Titans

2021 stats: 46 solo tackles, 11 sacks, one forced fumble

Should have been chosen over: Matthew Judon — 34 solo tackles, 12.5 sacks, zero forced fumbles

Judon has gotten a lot of publicity because of his success after the move from the Baltimore Ravens to the New England Patriots in the 2021 NFL offseason. That is probably why he was in people's minds more than Landry when it came time to vote. That doesn't mean it was right, however, as Landry played the run and the pass a lot better than Judon–who was mainly used as a pass-rusher.

7. Jordan Poyer | S | Buffalo Bills

2021 stats: 60 solo tackles, one sack, five interceptions, nine pass deflections

Should have been chosen over: Tyrann Mathieu — 51 solo tackles, one sack, three interceptions, six pass deflections

Another case of the “big name” being chosen over the rightful Pro Bowler. While Mathieu gets all of the headlines while playing for the flashy Kansas City Chiefs, it was Poyer who had the better stats across the board and thus deserved this spot.

6. Najee Harris | RB | Pittsburgh Steelers

2021 stats: 1,296 total yards, nine total touchdowns

Should have been chosen over: Nick Chubb — 1,131 total yards, eight total touchdowns

Not only has Harris had better numbers than Chubb, but his team has the better record and the Steelers beat the Browns in their only matchup so far this year. I'm not sure what the voters were thinking here…

5. Leonard Fournette | RB | Tampa Bay Buccaneers

2021 stats: 1,264 total yards, ten total touchdowns

Should have been chosen over: Alvin Kamara — 1,006 total yards, eight total touchdowns

Here is where they start to get bad. As you can see by the numbers, Fournette has had a far better season from a statistical perspective. Those numbers have also translated to a 10-4 record for Fournette's Buccaneers team compared to the 7-7 record that Kamara's New Orleans Saints have so far.

4. Josh Allen | QB | Buffalo Bills

2021 stats: 4,289 total yards, 35 total touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 95.9 passer rating

Should have been chosen over: Lamar Jackson — 3,649 total yards, 18 total touchdowns, 13 interceptions, 87.0 passer rating

Allen has passed for more yards and touchdowns than Jackson and also ran for more scores. His passer rating is higher and his team is 8-6, just like Lamar. The only NFL stat in which Jackson beat Allen in 2021 was rushing yards…

3. Austin Ekeler | RB | Los Angeles Chargers

2021 stats: 1,347 total yards, 17 total touchdowns, 14 total touchdowns

Should have been chosen over: Joe Mixon — 1,298 total yards, 12 total touchdowns

This one is a bit surprising not just because of the numbers, but because one would expect a player who plays in Los Angeles to get more attention than one that plays in Cincinnati, but that is not what happened here at all. Ekeler gets passed up despite his 17 total scores being the second-most in the NFL behind only the Indianapolis Colts' Jonathan Taylor.

2. Matthew Stafford | QB | Los Angeles Rams

2021 stats: 4,142 passing yards, 35 touchdowns, ten interceptions, two fumbles, 108.2 passer rating

Should have been chosen over: Kyler Murray — 3,139 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, 102.3 passer rating

Yeah, I have no clue what the NFL pro Bowl voters were thinking here but perhaps people were blinded by Murray's flashy play? Stafford has the highest passer rating of his career and the highest passer rating of all-time for a player in their first season with a new team.

1. Trey Hendrickson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals

2021 stats: 19 solo tackles, 13 sacks

Should have been chosen over: Maxx Crosby — 25 solo tackles, five sacks

The biggest beef of all of the 2022 NFL Pro Bowl snubs has got to be Trey Hendrickson. In his first season with the Bengals, Trey has 13 total sacks, good for third overall in the AFC and fifth overall in the NFL. Hendrickson has only two games this year where he didn't record a sack and Crosby only has two games in 2021 with a sack.
