Embracing the popularity of the NBA 2K franchise, the league is launching an eSports league creatively called the NBA 2K eLeague. There are 17 teams competing in the league and it will mirror the actual NBA season. There will be a regular season, playoffs and a championship.
The teams will come up with five gamers, regardless of their location, and they will be initially pick up through a draft

The NBA 2K eLeague is expected to start in 2018 but no set date has been reported as of now.
