Fresh on the heels of a disappointing end to their NBA season, the Milwaukee Bucks are looking to make their 2022 NBA season much better. Trying to get themselves back to the Finals will be a tough task to accomplish, which is why exploring the trade market to help Giannis Antetokounmpo makes sense.

As a team that is paying the luxury tax, general manager Jon Horst has his work cut out for him if he wants to make additions via a trade. With Milwaukee needing help in all areas of their roster, see if the following unrealistic trade ideas could be something the Bucks decide to go after.

Bucks Unrealistic Trade Ideas For 2022 NBA Offseason

Terrence Ross

Coming off the worst 3PT shooting year of his career, Terrence Ross is not on the right timeline for the Orlando Magic and would make for a solid wing addition for the Bucks.

The issue, as will be in the second trade idea, is that the Bucks have very little value to offer a team like the Magic who are willing to take on salary and castaway players as long as they also add draft capital. But the 31-year-old Ross, who has one more year on his current contract, would be a smart target for a team needing another shooter that can eat up valuable bench minutes.

Ross is not the player that he used to be, but he certainly is a much-needed veteran presence that would be a strong complementary piece alongside Antetokounmpo. His shooting numbers likely would go up in this offensive scheme, and the Magic likely would send Ross out for some sort of combination that includes Grayson Allen, another salary filler (Rayjon Tucker for instance), and a second-round pick or two.

Monte Morris / Will Barton

While both Monte Morris and Will Barton were just shipped to the Washington Wizards, they both would bring value to the Bucks. With the Denver Nuggets acquiring Kentavius Caldwell-Pope as the main reason for the deal, the Wizards took on two young-ish options that they could hold on to, or decide to ship out to a contender like Milwaukee.

Morris would slide in as a key backcourt piece for the Bucks, allowing them to finally move on from George Hill, who was a disaster in the postseason last year. Morris is owed almost $19 million over the final two years of his deal, but Milwaukee would be able to fit him into their plans by including Allen in the deal for salary-matching purposes.

Barton, like Ross from before, is 31 years old and has one year remaining on his current deal. Having a cap hit of $14.375 million is a bit tougher for the Bucks to make work, but combining Allen and Hill in the deal, along with a 2nd rounder, would like get it done.

With where the Wizards are at currently, Hill has no value to them except for them to move him to a contending team for more draft capital / young options. Allen is someone that they could decide to incorporate into the team, as his three-point shooting can be an added bonus for someone off the bench.

Milwaukee needs to try and search out additions this offseason via the trade market, but with limited assets to throw out there, it will be tough to see any deal be pushed through.
