In the 2015-16 season, the NBA almost saw an unprecedented historical feat that would likely never be reached again. In a way, everyone did, but the ending is what spoiled it all.

The Golden State Warriors dominated the season winning 73 games, and advancing all the way to the NBA Finals where they were one win away from a title, but failed to finish the job.

While they will go down in history for an inexcusable collapse, they are also in the record books for what they did accomplish that year. That's why 2K Sports announced Saturday that NBA2K18 will feature the 2015-16 Warriors as one of their 16 classic teams where you can rewrite history and use them to finish the job digitally.

Not only were the Warriors announced, but so were the 2010-11 Dallas Mavericks, who managed to win an NBA title by upsetting the Miami Heat super team of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.

For the Warriors, it was a unanimous MVP year for Stephen Curry who changed basketball forever with his ability to hit three pointers from anywhere on the court no matter who tried to deny him. The Mavericks meanwhile featured a prime Dirk Nowitzki who had probably his most insane season winning the title without another All-Star on his roster.

While the Warriors team will feature many familiar faces, including the ones who moved onto other teams, the Mavericks will feature past fan favorites such as Jason Kidd, Peja Stojakovich, and Shawn Marion.

Only a few more reveals left to go before all 16 classic teams are named.
