Scottie Barnes, a five-star prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, has committed to play for the Florida State Seminoles.

This is relatively stunning news, as the immortal Leonard Hamilton secured the commitment over coaches more widely known for their recruiting trail dominance. That being said, Hamilton has been very good for a long time and will — unfortunately — not be appreciated for his greatness until his time with the Florida State Seminoles is over.

As for the insanely dynamic Scottie Barnes, not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have Scottie Barnes pegged as a five-star caliber player, but nearly all agree he’s one of the two or three best in the entire 2020 recruiting class.

Like, you know, he's a pretty dang big deal.

This is yet more proof as to how good the Florida State Seminoles, a supposed football school, has been under Hamilton. The coach has obviously overseen several NBA-level players and taken the school to numerous trips to the NCAA Tournament.

Put some respect on Leonard Hamilton's name, basically.
