Christian Kirk will be among the most sought-after wide receivers in NFL free agency this offseason. The Arizona Cardinals wideout is set to hit the open market, where he should have a handful of suitors interested in bringing him aboard. Kirk is coming off a career year with the Cardinals, and could parlay that into a nice new contract this offseason.

The 25-year-old is projected by Pro Football Focus to garner a contract in the range of three years, $35 million, with $24 million in guarantees. Considering his age and his upside, he could be a viable option for a number of teams that need help at wide receiver. Kirk is a talented wideout who could act as an elite deep threat for a team that's lacking a player to fit that mold.

With that in mind, here are the three best possible landing spots for Christian Kirk in 2022 NFL free agency.

Christian Kirk Free Agency Landing Spots

3. New England Patriots

The Patriots have a glaring need at wide receiver, and Kirk could be the perfect player for the team to target this offseason. With Jakobi Meyers emerging as the Pats' top receiving threat last season, pairing him alongside Kirk could enable him to have an even bigger year in 2022. Kirk has 11 touchdown receptions over the past two seasons, and his five this year would have tied Kendrick Bourne for the team lead among wide receivers – Hunter Henry had 9 TDs.

Kirk could be a viable deep threat for Mac Jones to target, having ranked as one of the most effective players in deep ball scenarios last season, per PFF. Kirk would also fit in with the young nucleus the Patriots have at skill positions. Jones is entering his second season in the league. The rest of the offensive core, including Meyers, Henry, Rhamondre Stevenson, Jonnu Smith, and Damien Harris, are all 27 or younger. Kirk would have a chance to play under Bill Belichick and be a part of that nucleus for the foreseeable future.

2. Green Bay Packers

There's a real chance that Davante Adams isn't back in Green Bay next year, and the same can be said for Aaron Rodgers. However, the Packers will be operating under the approach that both stars will be back in 2022. As we saw in the playoffs last year, Rodgers doesn't seem to trust any of his wide receivers apart from Adams, having almost exclusively thrown the ball in the direction of No. 17, no matter the coverage. Well, if the Packers were to bring in a player like Kirk to operate as a deep threat, he could not only alleviate some of the pressure on Adams, but also provide another talented weapon for Rodgers to build trust with.

Adding Kirk to the mix as a WR2 would be a huge boost for Green Bay's offense, and could give them the depth behind Adams they sorely need. Adams hauled in 123 receptions last season. The next most productive Packers wide receiver, Randall Cobb, caught just 28 passes on the season. It's clear the Packers need to get another talented body at the position, and Kirk could fit the bill for that.

1. Cleveland Browns

The Odell Beckham Jr. experiment in Cleveland was a bonafide disaster, with the wideout since moving on and winning a Super Bowl with the LA Rams. His departure leaves the Browns with a significant hole to fill at wide receiver, and perhaps they would be interested in adding Kirk to the mix. Baker Mayfield needs as much talent around him as possible following his woeful 2021 season, and having Kirk running deep routes could prove fruitful to the offense.

Jarvis Landry also faces an uncertain future in Cleveland, carrying a significant $16.3 million cap hit. If the Browns opt against re-structuring his deal and aim to part ways with the veteran wideout, their need at the position would be even more significant. Kirk would be a great fit in the rush-heavy Cleveland offense, and he has the potential to explode for some big plays on that offense.
