This past offseason treated Jared Goff fairly well. Although having the bitter taste of the Super Bowl loss in his mouth, the man got paid like a top tier signal caller. With a record $110 million of his four year $134 million contract extension guaranteed many will be calling for Goff to prove that deal was worth it for the Los Angeles Rams. Now they play the Bucs.

This week's matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be a great proving ground for him to show critics exactly why he was given that extension. This week expect Goff to throw for over 350 yards.

Tampa Bay's pass defense is rated 21st out of all 32 teams and with the Rams high powered offense playing at home, there is no reason to think Goff wont have a big game. After Daniel Jones torched the Bucs defense in his first game as the Giants starter, one shouldn't expect Goff to do any less. After dismantling the Saints and and surviving the Browns last week, Goff won't have to face a top cornerback against the Bucs.

What also works in his favor is that if the game is in any way competitive, it will most likely be a shootout as Jameis Winston is not afraid to throw the ball, whether it's to an open Mike Evans or into coverage.

Goff will also look to have his first three touchdown game of the season. If there was ever time to accomplish it this season, now is the time. With Cooper Kupp having a huge game last week and Robert Woods looking to move past his slow start to the season, Goff will have an abundance of receiver thats are target hungry.

It isn't limited to his receiver as Todd Gurley, who was one of the biggest backfield weapons the last few season, has only totaled four catches through three games. The Rams are not the same team if Gurley isn't seen as the kind of threat that earned him the 2017 offensive player of the year. Expect for Goff to try to get Gurley going early.

With prediction of Goff going for over 350 yards and have at least three scores, he will be in prime position to be the top fantasy quarterback of the week. While Patrick Mahomes will be facing favorable Lions secondary, it is Goff who will put up the biggest number of the week. Goff is due for a big game and I don't expect him to miss the opportunity he has this week.
