Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are entering the 2019 NFL season looking to prove a point. They are looking to prove that they are no longer going to be a team that misses the playoffs. After two straight years of watching the playoffs from their couches, Green Bay made quite a few moves this offseason to get back into contention.

Ever since taking over for Brett Favre as the starting quarterback for the Packers, Rodgers has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. He has even become one of the top quarterbacks to ever play in the league.

Now, it will be on Rodgers to prove that he can power his team back to the playoffs and step up as a leader after an offseason of drama surrounding the franchise.

Mike McCarthy is no longer on the sidelines in Green Bay. New head coach Matt LaFleur has taken things over and is bringing a new offense with him. Many believe that Rodgers will thrive in the new offense and that he will have a much better relationship with his new coach than he did with McCarthy.

All of that being said, let's dive in and take a look at three main goals that Rodgers must focus on accomplishing during the 2019 season.

3. Play All 16 Games and Make the Playoffs

Health has been a word that has come up quite often with Rodgers over the last couple of years. He has had multiple big injuries such as a broken collarbone and a serious knee injury, while also having concussions and getting banged up with the amount of hits that he has taken.

Green Bay went into the offseason and signed Billy Turner, while also drafting Elgton Jenkins. Both players are going to add much-needed depth to the offensive line. Playing in 16 games and leading his team to the playoffs is an obvious goal for the superstar quarterback.

2. Prove Himself As a Strong Leader

One of the biggest question marks that came up about Rodgers this offseason was in the leadership department. A few former teammates came out and blasted their former quarterback, calling him a poor leader among other things. It's time for Rodgers to shut those critics up.

Rodgers is the veteran leader of this team and it's time for him to be more vocal. He has always been a supportive teammate, but he needs to take that to the next level in 2019.

1. Get Back to Playing at an MVP Caliber Level

Finally, the Packers need to see their superstar quarterback get back to playing at the MVP level that so many fans became accustomed to. He had a good year last season, despite all of the criticism. Rodgers threw 25 touchdowns and threw two interceptions on the year.

If Rodgers can get back to throwing for 4,300 yards, 35 touchdowns, and keep the interceptions at six or below, the Packers are going to be tough to beat. He has quite a few weapons to work with and LaFleur's offense should help him get back to playing at the level that Green Bay fans want to see.
