The Green Bay Packers came away with a huge victory over the Cleveland Browns. It has put them even closer to clinching the top seed in the NFC, which would give them home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
The Packers pulled out the win in the end by a score of 24-22.
Aaron Rodgers continues to play like an MVP and is now the frontrunner for the award. Although there were rumors all offseason of Rodgers wanting to leave, none of the controversies has affected his play. He has led Green Bay to the best record in football at 12-3.
That being said, here are three Packers Week 16 takeaways from their clutch win over the Browns on Christmas.
Green Bay Packers Week 16 Takeaways vs. Cleveland Browns.
3. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are the best RB one-two punch
Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon have been a dominant one-two punch for the Packers at running back. Jones has been a star for multiple years, but Dillon has burst onto the scene in his second season. Dillon is a power back that can run through multiple defenders and fight for extra yards.
On the other hand, Jones is a big-play threat in both the receiving and rushing game. Jones already has 163 rushing attempts for 723 yards and four touchdowns this 2021. He also has 47 receptions for 361 yards and six touchdowns. His ability to be an elite target for Rodgers separates him from a lot of quarterbacks in the league.

Pairing his ability with Dillon makes him even better. Dillon has 159 rushing attempts for 677 yards and three touchdowns. He has also contributed in the receiving game with 31 receptions for 289 yards and two touchdowns.
They both made an impact against the Browns. Jones had 12 carries for 66 yards, while Dillon had nine carries for 41 yards. Jones also had five receptions for 21 yards, and Dillon had three receptions for 15 yards.
This duo is primed to continue striking fear in opponents and opening the passing game for their superstar quarterback.
2. Davante Adams is the best wide receiver in the NFL

Davante Adams has been regarded as one of the best wide receivers in the league over the past few years. However, some people have always given other receivers the nod over him for the best in the league.
After another dominant season, Adams has solidified himself as the best wideout in the NFL. Against the Browns, Adams had 10 receptions for 114 yards and two touchdowns. This added to his incredible season total of 106 receptions for 1,362 yards and 10 touchdowns.
His connection with Rodgers is uncanny as it looks effortless. Adams' ability to separate off the line and Rodgers almost always puts it in the perfect spot makes it nearly impossible to stop.
1. The Rasul Douglas and De'Vondre Campbell signings were vital
The Packers made two under-the-radar signings that have proven to be vital in their defensive success. De'Vondre Campbell has been the missing piece at linebacker for Green Bay, while Rasul Douglas has been a major addition to their secondary.
Against Cleveland, Campbell led the Packers in tackles with 13 and had a pass deflection. Douglas, on the other hand, picked off Baker Mayfield twice, including the game-clinching interception.
Rasul Douglas continues to be an unbelievable pickup for the @packers. 🙌 @rd32_era

Green Bay has made it to the NFC Championship Game two seasons in a row but came up short. The defense has lacked multiple playmakers, but this group seems to be ready for anything in their way.
Rodgers and the offense are going to be hard to stop in the playoffs, and with this defense backing them up, the Packers have a great shot at bringing home the Lombardi trophy.
