There's no way the Cleveland Browns could ever hope to beat the New England Patriots, right? After all, the Patriots are one of the best teams in the league that star one of the biggest names in Tom Brady. There's simply no way that the defending Super Bowl champs will fall to a talented yet dangerously inconsistent team in the Browns.

However, that's exactly what the Browns are counting on coming into the game. This is the perfect situation for the Browns to pull off a brilliant upset in front of the eyes of the entire world.

Count on Baker Mayfield and company to come back swinging and give the Patriots and their rabid fans something they won't easily forget.

Here are some of the reasons why these Browns will be able to pull the rug and give New England their first defeat of the season.

4. A week's rest will make a world of difference

A week-long break from football doesn't seem to amount to much for a team that's stumbling out of the gate like Cleveland. However, it may be just what the team needs to pull off a heist of a win against the Patriots.

They're probably not in the right frame of mind after losing four of their first six games. The break came just at the right time as the Patriots will undoubtedly be their biggest challenge of the season. They will need to focus on improving their team as the Patriots have one of the best overall defenses in the entire NFL.

They will have every reason to be careful with the Pats as they saw what they did to the New York Jets last week.

However, the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants give Freddie Kitchens an idea of how to stifle the Patriots from doing whatever they want on both sides of the football.

3. Mayfield wants to silence everybody with his play

Cleveland fans will argue that an angry Baker Mayfield is the best football player on the field. That's exactly what the reigning Rookie of the Year is after being seemingly hit with the second-season syndrome.

Mayfield has been largely disappointing this season. He doesn't have much to show so far this season, only notching 1,496 passing yards and five touchdowns through six games. What's more worrying is the fact that he already threw six interceptions this early in the season.

He's been mad at anything and everything, even getting into hot water with the league for lashing out at the officials during their loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

If he manages to turn his anger to on-field productivity, there's no reason for the Browns to lose.

2. Browns have Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry

The LSU duo still hasn't made their impact felt on the league the same way they did in their college days. However, they're still two of the best wideouts in the league. That alone should motivate them to perform better against the Patriots.

Moreover, they're hungry to get to playoff football. There are only ten games left in the season, and they've been made aware that they need to step it up.

The two of them are leading the Browns in receiving yards (Beckham at 436 and Landry at 439) but are behind when it comes to receiving touchdowns.

They need to step it up against the Pats defense and bring the football to the end zone themselves.

1. The Patriots offense have been patchy

This is the biggest X-Factor for the Browns.

The New England Patriots aren't the best team in the league when it comes to offensive output. In fact, there have been multiple times throughout the season that Tom Brady and company struggled to score points against teams that should be beneath them.

If they get lucky, they might catch the Pats on another poor night. As long as the Browns defense does its job and manage to stop Brady from maximizing the impact of his wideouts, there's a decent chance that they will be able to stop him.

It doesn't seem like it, but everything's there for the Browns to take and succeed with to the point of winning the game.

It's up to the players on the field and the coaching staff to make the right plays and make the improbable upset happen.
