Ahead of the San Francisco 49ers NFC Championship matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, Brock Purdy offered insight into how taking on the Dallas Cowboys has helped him prepare for the game.

On Wednesday, Purdy spoke with reporters. During the conversation, he acknowledged what it was like to take on the Cowboys defense.

“I think they had a great front, I Thought their secondary was really talented and skilled. All around, I think their scheme was really good too. I do think it was one of the best defenses that I’ve seen that our team has seen this year,” said Purdy when talking about the Cowboys defense.

“Obviously, this week is going to be a great challenge with the front that Philadelphia has, so I thought it was a good game to have to work through and learn from for this week's matchup,” added Purdy.

The Cowboys produced one of the best defenses in the NFL this last season. But Purdy and the 49ers will be met with an even bigger challenge as they take on this Eagles defense.

Outside of the 49ers explosive defense, the Eagles have been arguably the best in the NFL. They have gotten after quarterbacks with ease, and have limited even the best offenses. This matchup could very well be decided by which defense has the better performance. But a solid game will be necessary if the 49ers hope to walk away with the win.
