The San Francisco 49ers suffered a loss at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16 by a score of 33-19. Brock Purdy not only had a brutal game where he threw four interceptions, but Sam Darnold ultimately came in to replace the QB after he suffered a stinger injury in his left shoulder.

With Week 17 just days away, Niners fans will surely be wondering if Purdy is going to suit up against the San Francisco 49ers. And by the sounds of it, he should be just fine.

Via 49erswebzone:

“No, it's been good,” Brock Purdy responded. “Just got a lot of treatment done on it and everything. Sort of just work out the soreness within the whole shoulder area, trap area. But it feels good, so I'll be good for this game.”

While it wouldn't be the end of the world if Purdy did miss out, it's ideal to have him under center. The second-year signal-caller is biting at the bit to come out and respond as well after the four picks, which proved to be arguably the worst game of his NFL career.

Overall though, Brock Purdy is playing phenomenal football to lead the 11-4 49ers. He's completed 68.8% of his passes for 4,050 yards and 29 touchdowns against 11 interceptions while also rushing for a pair of scores. While some critics believe Purdy is only succeeding because of the dynamic weapons around him, he is truly a special talent who deserves the keys to the San Francisco offense.

The Niners kick-off against the Commanders on Sunday at 1 PM EST at FedExField.
