The San Francisco 49ers made some moves this offseason to try to better themselves within the NFC West. Among the moves, the 49ers traded for Dee Ford and drafted Nick Bosa to improve their pass rush.

When talking about the team, Dee Ford says he already has “a lot of chemistry” with rookie Nick Bosa. If you're a quarterback in the NFC West, you better watch out.

“Me and Nick? Yeah, it’s a beautiful situation, man,” Ford said after a recent practice. “There’s a lot of chemistry. That’s my guy.”

This offseason, the 49ers made it a focus of theirs to improve their pass rush off of the edge. First, the team traded for Ford from the Kansas City Chiefs.

Ford is coming off of his best season in the NFL as he had 13 sacks, seven forced fumbles, and 29 hits on the quarterback in 2018. Along with him, the 49ers drafted Bosa out of Ohio State with the second overall pick in this year's draft.

Of course, Nick is Joey's brother and has the potential to be just as good as his brother. The 49ers are going to need him to be phenomenal on the opposite side of Ford.

Last season, the 49ers struggled to get to the quarterback. As a team, San Francisco had just 37 sacks in 2018 (tied for 22nd in the NFL).

Adding Ford and Bosa alongside DeForest Buckner should help the 49ers increase their ability to create pressure. After this season, we may be talking about Ford and Bosa as one of the best pass-rushing duos in the NFL.
