Deebo Samuel is only one year into his NFL career and he already finds himself in the Super Bowl. In fact, he started his Super Bowl career with a big play that made the Kansas City Chiefs defense look clueless.

This play was significant in helping the 49ers get to the board first. However, the NFL's Research department revealed that there's more to what Deebo did than just put the Niners in a scoring position.

Shanahan has made good use of Samuels' speed and running sense to confuse opponents throughout the season. For him to be used that way in the Super Bowl is throwing a wrench at Andy Reid's defensive scheme.

It was obvious during the play that the Chiefs defense didn't account for Samuel getting the football. The man supposed to mark Samuel didn't leave his zone, and the entire left side of the Chiefs defense was exposed to his run. It was a beautiful trick play that would definitely make the Chiefs warier of the possible routes of attack the team would take.

Some may argue that Shanahan used this card a little too early. The trick play could have been used in a vital moment where catching them off-guard would have turned the momentum of the game. However, it may also be possible that the early reveal of the play was meant to add pressure on the Chiefs, and Shanahan's guts must be praised for that.

The game is still far from over, and Niner Nation hopes that the head coach has more aces up his sleeve.
