George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers is considered to be one of the best tight ends in the NFL right now. As an expert in tight ends, Kittle went ahead and named his top five tight ends in NFL history.

While it doesn't seem like there's a particular order for them, all five of his tight ends have played in the last two decades. Of the options he listed, Dallas Clark is a name that not many people list when talking about tight ends.

However, as the security blanket for Peyton Manning, Clark caught 505 receptions for 5,665 yards in his career. On the other hand, it's interesting to see Kittle choose Travis Kelce as one of his top tight ends already.

In his first six seasons as a starter with the Kansas City Chiefs, Kelce has been absolutely dominant. The former third-round pick of the Chiefs has managed to record 507 receptions, 6,465 yards, and 37 touchdowns since 2014.

As for the other guys listed, Tony Gonzalez, Rob Gronkowski, and Antonio Gates are popular names at tight end. All three of them will likely be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, with Gonzalez already getting inducted in 2019.

The argument for the greatest tight end in today's NFL usually involves Kittle and Kelce. As a matter of fact, Gronkowski labeled Kittle as the best tight end in the NFL during the 2019 season.

Over the past two seasons alone, Kittle has combined for 173 catches, 2,430 yards, and 10 touchdowns. With Kittle having quite a few years left in his career, there's a chance he could cement himself as one of the best tight ends to ever play in the NFL.
