If Jimmy Garoppolo has indeed played his last game for the San Francisco 49ers, he'll be leaving without regrets and full of appreciation for the season they just had.

The 49ers suffered a rather brutal ending to their magical playoff run, succumbing to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC title game after leading by 10 points heading to the final quarter. A 13-0 run in the fourth saw San Francisco's lead disappear and allowed Matthew Stafford and co. to complete the comeback.

In his postgame media availability, Garoppolo admitted that the defeat hit the locker room pretty hard. He also refused to give a clear answer on his future with the team, but the 49ers QB did note how thankful he is for the opportunity to play in the Conference Championship and lead the team to that stage despite low expectations.

Jimmy Garoppolo's future with the 49ers has been a major talking point all season long and throughout the playoffs, and those debates on whether the team should move on from him or not are expected to intensify even more this offseason.

As the 49ers groom Trey Lance to be their next starting QB, there has been growing calls for the team to just give the young QB the reins to the offense.

San Francisco has certainly some tough decisions to make, but while they failed to reach the Super Bowl this time around, they can certainly only build from what they have achieved.
