The San Francisco 49ers seem to be prioritizing even more help along the defensive front with their early first-round pick.

General manager John Lynch said on Monday that Ohio State's Nick Bosa, Alabama's Quinnen Williams, Kentucky's Josh Allen, and Michigan's Rashan Gary will travel to Santa Clara to meet with team representatives before the NFL draft.

Lynch, speaking at the NFL owners meeting in Phoenix, refrained from committing to selecting one of those four players with the No. 2 pick in the draft, but alluded to the possibility each are in play for San Francisco at the top of the draft – or another team who might be interested in trading up.

“Those guys are really good players,” he said, per Matt Maiocco of Pro Football Talk. “I think anybody would be interested in picking high. We can’t just settle in on two or three guys and say these are our guys here.”

Bosa and Williams, considered by many to be the top two prospects in the 2019 class, met with Lynch and 49ers president of player personnel Adam Peters last week. Both players could be available at No. 2 as the Arizona Cardinals hone in on selecting a quarterback with the draft's first overall pick.

Shaw, who recently called himself the best player in the draft, and Gary are also likely top-10 picks.

The 49ers already made one splash along the defensive front this offseason by trading for star edge rusher Dee Ford, formerly of the Kansas City Chiefs.

He teams with rising fourth-year pro DeForest Buckner to give San Francisco one of the most explosive pass-rushing tandems in the league.
