The San Francisco 49ers are gearing up for what could ultimately become a memorable season in the Bay Area. Despite that notion, 49ers general manager John Lynch has been forced to refute that there has been some friction within the team's front office structure.

“We fully understand we’re going into Year Three, Lynch said on Friday during an appearance on 95.7 The Game in San Francisco, via the San Jose Mercury News. “This is a production-based business and we have to start winning games. We feel really good about where our team is in terms of being set up to do that. We feel great about the progress we’ve made. It’s put-up time. We understand that.”

However, it is now clear that Lynch certainly does not feel that his team's lack of success in the past will affect the 49ers' production on the field going forward.

“The notion we’re not working together couldn’t be further from the truth,” Lynch went on to add. “We have a tremendous working relationship. We’re great friends off field. There’s a lot of trust. We came into this together knowing there’d be tough times and it wouldn’t be easy, but it would be worth it.”

Unfortunately for Lynch and company, the up-and-coming 49ers won't have an easy road ahead in 2019-20 as the NFC West division should become pretty competitive pretty quickly with both the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks serving as legitimate threats as it stands today. Even the struggling Arizona Cardinals should be better come 2019-20, making things extra difficult for San Francisco.
