On Sunday afternoon, Brock Purdy and the San Francisco Cardinals got back into the win column with a resounding win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road. It hadn't been smooth sailing for the 49ers leading into the contest, as the team had dropped three straight games before last week's bye; however, the team looked rejuvenated on Sunday against Jacksonville, as Purdy turned in one of the most impressive performances of his season in the big win.

The first touchdown pass that Purdy threw against the Jaguars occurred around four minutes into the game, as he lofted what was essentially a jump ball into a sea of both Jacksonville and San Francisco players in the back of the end zone. Ultimately, it was 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk who came up with the ball to give his team a touchdown; however, that didn't stop 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan from getting brutally honest on Purdy's decision to throw that ball after the game.

Shanahan reportedly described the pass as “one of the worst decisions [Purdy's] made since he's been here,” per Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area. However, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, and 49ers fans were certainly happy to see their team get on the board first after what had been a string of slow starts during the course of the losing streak.

For the most part on Sunday, though, Brock Purdy was more so good than lucky, as the 49ers look to have moved on from their disappointing stretch.
