As the San Francisco 49ers prepare for their Monday Night Football showdown with the Green Bay Packers, the health of some of their players is a big question mark. Marquise Goodwin is one of the players who is recovering from being banged up, but the 49ers have received some positive news about him.

According to a report from 49ers reporter Joe Fann, Goodwin is “on track” to play Monday night against the Packers.

Goodwin has become one of the 49ers' best wide receivers and the team will need as many offensive weapons as possible.

Due to the torn ACL suffered by Jimmy Garoppolo a few weeks back, C.J. Beathard is now the starting quarterback for San Francisco. He isn't a bad quarterback, but he certainly will need all the help he can get this week.

Green Bay does not have the best defense in the NFL, but they have a lot of talent in their secondary. Kevin King, Tramon Williams, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Jaire Alexander, and Josh Jackson are a few of the names Beathard and company will have to face.

Throughout the first three games Goodwin has played this season, he has caught five passes for 54 yards and a touchdown. San Francisco will be without rookie wide receiver Dante Pettis on Monday night, leaving an even bigger role for Goodwin alongside Pierre Garcon as the top two receivers.

San Francisco will head into Monday night's game with a 1-4 record. Kyle Shanahan and his team were talked about as a sleeper contender in the NFC, but it appears they will have to wait until next season thanks in large part to Garoppolo's injury.

That being said, the 49ers picking up a win against the Packers could be exactly the kind of momentum the team needs to make a run.

As it stands, San Francisco is a 9.5-point underdog on the road in Green Bay, according to BetOnline.ag. To place a bet on the game or any others, click here and use promo code CLUTCH50 for a 50% Welcome Bonus when you signup with BetOnline.ag!
