One of the more anticipated days for NFL rookies is learning their Madden rating, and that day came on Monday for Nick Bosa and the rest of the San Francisco 49ers rookies.

Bosa was given the highest rating for a rookie on the 49ers coming in at 78, which is also the third highest rating for the rookie defensive class behind Quinnen Williams of the New York Jets and defensive tackle Ed Oliver of the Buffalo Bills.

According to 247Sports, this is the rest of the 49ers rookies and their rating:

* DE Nick Bosa (Round 1, pick 2) – 78 overall (74 awareness, 79 speed, 91 acceleration, 86 agility, 84 strength)

* WR Deebo Samuel (Round 2, pick 36) – 71 overall (68 awareness, 91 speed, 90 acceleration, 87 agility, 70 strength)

* WR Jalen Hurd (Round 3, pick 67) – 68 overall (67 awareness, 89 speed, 90 acceleration, 91 agility, 76 strength)

* P Mitch Wishnowsky (Round 4, pick 110) – 68 overall (49 awareness, 84 speed, 87 acceleration, 71 agility, 56 strength)

* TE Kaden Smith (Round 6, pick 176) – 65 overall (59 awareness, 77 speed, 84 acceleration, 81 agility, 71 strength)

* LB Dre Greenlaw (Round 5, pick 148) – 63 overall (63 awareness, 83 speed, 86 acceleration, 80 agility, 72 strength)

* CB Tim Harris (Round 6, pick 198) – 63 overall (60 awareness, 88 speed, 91 acceleration, 85 agility, 57 strength)

* OT Justin Skule (Round 6, pick 183) – 57 overall (62 awareness, 64 speed, 77 acceleration, 63 agility, 83 strength)

Bosa is still dealing with a hamstring injury but the expectation is that he will be ready for training camp and be a big part of the 49ers defense this season.

Madden does update their rating system to reflect how well players are doing during the regular season so if Bosa or any of the other 49ers exceed expectations this season. they should be able to raise their skill rating.

Most important isn't the skill rating though, it's all about the 49ers winning games this season.
