Jimmy Garoppolo is still working back from an ACL but his San Francisco 49ers teammate Richard Sherman has been impressed with what the throws he is making. The 49ers were working 7-on-7 drills and Sherman saw just how well Garoppolo was slinging it.

“Jim was threading it today,” Sherman said via NBC Sports. “He got the ball right where he wanted to. Obviously, he's been limited, but today he had a lot of reps and looked really good. He was putting the ball in risky spots, real confident throws. He completed every single one of them.”

Sherman was most impressed with one throw by Garoppolo that was to Jordan Matthews. Garoppolo threw it to a spot that no one else could get it, except Matthews.

“It was just a great ball and a great throw from him. It was just exactly what you want to see from your quarterback, moving on in his rehab, and where he is in the process. To be only in day two and be able to make those throws already is a great compliment.”

It's good to see Garoppolo is making all the throws he needs to but most importantly he looks like he is on track with recovery from the ACL injury. Sherman is also out there running around on the field and feels fully healthy for the first time in a few years.

Key players are getting healthy for the 49ers and this is a team that others around the NFL need to look out for.
