San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman feels like the best recruiting tactic when it comes to NFL free agency is offering players a nice chunk of money.

It hasn't been an ideal season for the Niners, as they've had their fair share of struggles in going just 4-11 to this point in the season.

So, with room for improvement at many key spots on the roster, there's no doubt that the San Francisco front office will try to revamp the depth chart in hopes of getting back on track.

That's why free agency will be crucial for the Niners this offseason, and while San Francisco is certainly a great destination, Sherman also feels like money will play a huge role in who the team could possibly land.

From ESPN's Nick Wagoner:

Sherman says he's happy to help on recruiting trail if needed but he also is well aware of what works best in free agency: “I think this is a pretty attractive destination as is but money is the best recruiter….money talks.”

It's clear that there's a lot of potential on the Niners' current roster, but it will likely significant upgrades in certain spots for this franchise to get back to being an NFC contender.

Injuries have been mostly to blame for the problems this season, and getting Jimmy Garoppolo back in the mix will be a huge step in the right direction.

The Niners will finish up the regular season on Sunday when they take on the Los Angeles Rams.
