There is no question that the future is looking bright for the Philadelphia 76ers. Already expecting last season’s number one pick Ben Simmons to make his debut in October, the team was also able to complete a deal with the Boston Celtics last week and now own the top selection in this year’s draft.

It’s expected that they will add Markelle Fultz to their fold, which would give them a young and talented point guard who can run their offense. It also adds to their fans’ excitement that Joel Embiid and Dario Saric both had solid rookie campaigns that led to more wins last season.

That said, their supporters can’t wait for the start of the next campaign and watch their young team compete against other NBA teams. Their chief sales and marketing officer, Christopher Heck, even confirmed, via Jessica Camerato of CSN Philly, that they have already broken their season ticket memberships, as more people have purchased tickets for all of the Sixers’ home games.

“Fortunately we’re able to break the Sixers’ all-time record for season-ticket memberships. That is a testament to the strong fandom that we believe not only is this a true sports town, but it’s a basketball town. …We want to allow and spread the opportunity to everyone in Philadelphia to come and see a game live. To see what’s going on right now is something we’ve experienced over the last, really, four years that started with the most loyal fans, with season-ticket holders.”

In past seasons the Philly faithful were noticeably not filling their home arena, especially with the lack of success the 76ers have had. However, this coming season will be a different one for them, and they are already starting to make some noise in the ticket booths, even if it’s still the early days of the offseason.

Should the Sixers win more games and contend for a playoff berth, it can be expected that more of their supporters will show up during home games. Their fans have long been wanting to see postseason action once again, and with the lineup the team has for next year, they will have a legitimate chance of making it beyond the regular season, and potentially sell more tickets than what they’ve sold so far.
