In case you haven't noticed, Forbidden Door is right around the corner, and one of the hottest acts in AEW, nay, all of professional wrestling, The Young Bucks, do not yet have a match booked for the Pay-Per-View.

Call it an understandable byproduct of their feud with the Hardy Boys, or the logical conclusion considering they had to first take care of the Jurassic Express before they could turn their attention back to New Japan ahead of Forbidden Door, but now that the AEW Tag Team Championships are officially back to calling Rancho Cucamonga home, at least when they aren't being defended on the road, the Bucks can finally comb through the promotion's roster, which is a bit different from when they left in 2019, and call up the booking tandem of Tony Khan and Gedo in order to request their preferred match for the major event.

Fortunately, there are still more than a few choice opponents left for the show who could deliver a five-star matchup between the team formerly known as Generation Me in TNA, both in one-on-one singles action and in expanded-out formats worthy of a premium spot on the card and a much longer angle.

AEW could book these three Forbidden Door matchups for The Young Bucks.

3. The Young Bucks versus The Good Brothers

For much of the Kenny Omega, “Belt Collector” storyline, The Young Bucks and The Good Brothers were on the same team. Sure, only the latter traveled with Omega when he crossed through the Forbidden Door to Impact Wrestling, but when the quintet were together, they genuinely seemed to enjoy each other's company both inside and outside of the ring.

Goodness, does one need to say more than Sour Boy? Surely he's the worst, but that didn't stop the character from appearing in countless episodes of Being the Elite alongside more than a few jokes about danglies of all shapes, sizes, and applications. While the inter-promotion pairing ultimately petered out, there wasn't much love lost between the Young Bucks and Good Brothers, especially when you consider “Machinegun” Karl Anderson called into the 300th episode of BTE to congratulate the boys on their success.

And yet, with G.O.D. out of the Bullet Club, the Brothers Good are the team's top tag unit – especially in the USA – and thus could find themselves matching up against the AEW Tag Team Champions almost by default.

Would a tag match between two friendly heel teams be fun to watch? You bet, and after sharing the ring nine times together exclusively as a joining tag team, it would certainly be cool to see the first-ever Young Bucks-Good Brothers match on Forbidden Door.

2. The Young Bucks versus G.O.D.

If the Good Brothers aren't in the cards for a match against The Young Bucks at Forbidden Door, the next most logical match is one that's already been booked on six occasions, even if only one of those contests was a straight-up one-on-one match: The Guerillas of Destiny.

Yes, the Guerrillas of Destiny, G.O.D., the pairing of Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa who were kicked out of the Bullet Club on Impact Wrestling television back in January and have since been feuding with them ever since as associates of CHAOS. While the Guerrillas haven't been back in America since February, all it takes is one quick appearance on either Dynamite or Rampage, and suddenly, the talk around the wrestling universe would be about YB-G.O.D. 2, a match few saw coming, but everyone would be talking about by the end of the program.

If Khan wants to keep the Bullet Club from going into a full-on war and instead wants to let the heat simmer just a bit more before it fully boils over, this would be the way to go.

1. The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega versus The Good Brothers and Jay White.

Whoa, whoa, whoa; hot take alert: If Kenny Omega is ready to return at Forbidden Door but isn't quite up for the sort of 40-minute, six-star match fans would like to see, the best way to get it done would be in a tag team match between The Elite and The Bullet Club which, *spoiler alert* has never happened before.

The Bucks could work most of the match, Omega could pin White if the two bookers want to tease out a singles match for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship down the line, and when the match ends, the storyline between the two factions could take a massive step forward one way or another, be that coming from the Good Brothers betraying the Bullet Club for the Elite, Omega siding with White after the Young Bucks didn't help him in his championship match with “Hangman” Adam Page, or a mystery performer could hit the ring like an RKO out of nowhere to shake things up and take the Bullet Club into a new direction entirely. Not to be biassed or anything, but this would be the ultimate dream match on an event designed to deliver dream matches.
