Did the ending of the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match at AEW x NJPW's Forbidden Door look a little weird to you? Did, after an extended build-up and a growing crescendo towards what should have been an ending worthy of firecrackers, Jay White's decision to slither back into the ring, take out Kazuchika Okada with a Blade Runner, and then roll up Adam Cole for the 1-2-3 feel like it maybe came out of nowhere?

And when the match came to an end, the Young Bucks plus Kyle O'Riley low-key confronted White on the stairs, and the dynamic duo of “King Switch” and Gedo walked into the back, and the commentary team explicitly mentioned that Adam Cole was able to leave the ring on his own validation, did that make an eyebrow raise?

Well, if you felt that way, your instincts were probably correct, as it looks like Okada may have inadvertently popped Adam Cole's shoulder out of its socket and led to a sped-up finished audibled on the fly by White.

Goodness, that looks downright brutal.

Now, as you may or may not know, Cole did not enter Forbidden Door at 100 percent. He has been injured for some time now, which limited his schedule in the lead-up to Forbidden Door, and was expected to take a break from in-ring work once the event was over to heal up what is apparently a pretty rough labrum injury, at least according to Sean Ross Sapp. While there's no way of knowing if this new injury will add time to Cole's recovery or will simply serve as an example of a real-world issue setting up a kayfabe storyline, let's hope Cole is able to return to the ring soon, as it's clear the Bullet Club civil war is only heating up, not cooling off.
