Danhausen has worn a lot of hats in AEW.

He's served as an honorary member of the Best Friends, secured a new song for The Ass Boys The Gunn Club just in time for their Forbidden Door pre-show bout versus the NJPW LA Dojo, and even formed an unlikely yet unstoppable tag team with Hook that won their lone match together on the buy-in match for Double or Nothing.

So naturally, when Hookhausen's DoN foes, Tony Nese and Mark Sterling, made a point of trying to pursue a petition to kick Swerve Strickland off of AEW television and reached out to Orange Cassidy about signing it, Danhausen had to insert himself into the angle, this time as an impromptu lawyer opposite the “Smart Mark.”

The results? Well, they were predictable but in a very good way.

Booked in a match versus Nese that would require a petition signature if “The Premier Athlete” secured the win, Orange Cassidy continued this hot streak with yet another feather in his wrestling cap. He put his hands in his pockets, toyed with his foe, and ultimately got the upper hand even when his foe's manager tried to get involved in the match both with his limbs and while using a clipboard as a weapon.

Fortunately, Danhause was there to secure the save, and after a failed curse attempt broken up outside of the ring, Danhause (probably) said enough is enough  – in a voice that certainly sounded like a Transylvanian Conan O'Brien – went for the 7-10 split – to paraphrase Jim Ross – before OC got the W with a quick 1-2-3 from Aubrey Edwards.

With “Jane,” and the Orange Juice mist officially back, it's clear Tony Khan is giving OC even more leeway by allowing him to embrace one of his most popular tag team partners from his run on the indies.

Orangehausen is an untapped market in AEW.

Before Orange Cassidy and eventually Danhausen made their respective ways to AEW, the duo were two of the most popular performers on the indie wrestling scene. Their unique blends of personality and prowess, comedic chicanery, and in-ring mastery made promotion the likes of Beyond, F1RST, and A1 bust out their checkbooks – or PayPal accounts – in the hopes of getting one or both of the biggest personalities on the indies into their rings.

And yet, Cassidy and OC have only wrestled in a ring together on four occasions, first in an eight-man tag that also featured Effy and VSK, in a four-way championship bout that also featured Effy and Dan the Dan, and in their lone singles and tag team bout on the same night at F1rst Wrestling Saturday Night Nitro, where the team secured a win over Lorebin Cometh. They've interacted many more times than that mind you, and even have a collaborative shirt together that you can check out here, but other than that lone bout, the Orangehausen partnership has been woefully underutilized.

Tony Khan, you know what to do.

No matter how you squeeze it, Orange Cassidy is having himself a moment in AEW. He had the match of the night at Forbidden Door, as had some of his indie elements restored on the AEW, and will likely continue to shine as one of the promotion's top performers for the foreseeable future. But could you imagine pairing him up with Danhausen, both as a tag team partner and as his manager during solo matches? My goodness, the pop every time they entered the ring would be un-freakin'-real.
