On Monday morning, AEW star Jeff Hardy was pulled over in the 12 o'clock hour by Daytona, Florida police and subsequently arrested for three charges, including driving on a canceled/suspended/revoked license and driving while under the influence, marking his third such offensive over the last three years.

Though he was released on bail for $3,500, the younger half of The Hardy Boyz/The Hardy Brothers is expected in court on Tuesday morning and very well may find himself out of the scheduled ladder match on Wednesday's edition of Dynamite with Jurassic Express and the Young Bucks that was booked for the AEW Tag Team Titles.

Hardy was first charged with a DWI in 2018 in North Carolina and was again arrested for a DWI in North Carolina one year later. He was also arrested back in 2011 for trafficking anabolic steroids, which he pled guilty to, and was sentenced to 10 days in prison plus 30 months of probation.

Back to wrestling, Hardy has a history of his out-of-ring activities affecting his in-ring work, most notably his infamous match with Sting at TNA's Victory Road in 2011, where he showed up to the show visibly intoxicated before having the booking changed, being squashed by “The Man Called Sting” and then berated by the crowd and his opponent for his lack of professionalism. Hardy's substance abuse issues also played into his release from WWE earlier this year and must come as a bit of a shock to his brother Matt, as he explicitly wanted to work in the same company as his brother in order to help keep him on the straight and narrow.

Though we won't know the exact fallout from these charges until Tuesday at the earliest, let's hope Hardy can get the help he needs.
