Former WWE Divas champion Paige made a shocking announcement on Friday when she revealed she would leave WWE on July 7th. In her announcement, the 29-year-old star mentioned her departure from WWE wasn't an end to her in-ring career. And now, she has commented on the possibility of joining AEW.
According to Ringside News, Paige discussed her future on a Twitch live stream. She was asked about potentially joining AEW, and she didn't rule the idea out. “Sure, if the money is right,” she said.
Her departure from WWE comes after months of inactivity. The 29-year-old last wrestled in 2017 when she suffered a neck injury that forced her into retirement. Following her retirement, she retained a role on screen, first as SmackDown general manager and then as manager of the Kabuki Warriors tag team with Asuka and Kairi Sane.
The Norwich, England native thanked the WWE in her statement, saying:

Paige also stated her desire to return to the ring someday. “FYI, I'm not saying I'll never be in the ring. That day will most certainly come again! Wherever the return maybe,” she wrote.
During her stream, Paige noted that the decision for her to leave WWE was made by WWE themselves, as they chose not to renew her contract.
