In his first season overseas, former NBA star Amar'e Stoudemire has made a tremendous impact with the Hapoel Jerusalem B.C. team that he partly owns.

Earlier this week, Stoudemire led the organization to the 2017 Israeli Basketball Premier League championship after which he posted a video on social media voicing his excitement about his first professional basketball title.

The 34-year-old came off the bench averaging 9.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for Hapoel. Although he isn't playing like the player he once was, he has remained an impact player on the court. His chatter about playing in the NBA again with either the New York Knicks and Miami Heat were likely to show his two former teams that he can still play at an elite level.

Stoudemire had retired from the NBA following last season but quickly continued his professional basketball career overseas. It's currently unclear if this could launch him back to the league for one final run. If he were to go this route, he wouldn't be the last player to attempt that move, however, many before him have struggled to receive significant interest from NBA teams.

Regardless of what unfolds over the next several months, it's evident that Stoudemire still has a strong passion for the game of basketball.
