The Golden State Warriors are three games away from repeating as NBA champions.

They have shattered individual and team records over the past two years, including their 73-win mark this past season. Despite all of these accomplishments, it doesn't mean the current roster of players are guaranteed to return next season. That would be because the Warriors plan on pursuing the biggest free agent on the market, Kevin Durant.

Andrew Bogut, who has been the team's starting center over the past four seasons, commented on the opinion of his teammates on these rumors, via Scott Howard-Cooper of

“Guys have definitely asked questions,” Andrew Bogut told “We're not immune to it. We've seen it. We've seen the rumors, heard the rumors, all that kind of stuff. Different guys at different times have been scratching their head and thinking, ‘Why?' The only way we can dispel all that stuff is maybe we've got to win five straight. Who knows? It's one of those things we can't really control, but we can control trying to make them make a tough decision.”

Any Warrior who is a free agent this summer will likely be affected by the team's pursuit of Durant. Key players in the rotation such as Harrison Barnes, Leandro Barbosa and Marreese Speights are all free agents this summer.

It's a fair question for the Warriors to ponder, considering they've had nothing but success with their current core. While Durant is certainly one of the best players in the game, one has to question how it would affect the team's chemistry if they were to acquire to another superstar such as the Oklahoma City Thunder forward.

While there may be questions as to how serious the Warriors are in acquiring Durant, Bogut understands that the NBA is a business:

“Guys obviously ask questions at certain times,” Bogut said. “We've had two good years. Guys definitely find it interesting. But we understand that it's a business and you're not going to be able to stop. If an owner or a GM wants to do something, they're going to do it.”

The Durant sweepstakes should be an interesting topic to follow during the first few days of free agency in July.
