Andrew Dean East was born on September 17, 1991, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has one sister named Christine, and three brothers named Grant, James, and Guy. His mom, Marsha East, used to be a cheerleader and his dad, Guy East, used to play football at Purdue as a tight end and snapper.
He attended North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he played football. In his sophomore and junior years, Andrew East started at the linebacker position and he had 110 tackles as a junior. He was also the starting snapper for the team.

He was then signed and waived by multiple teams such as the Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Memphis Express from 2015 to 2018.
On December 15, 2018, the Washington Redskins (now the Washington Commanders), signed him after long snapper Nick Sundberg was placed on injury reserve due to a back injury. He then played 3 games for Washington before being waived on August 2, 2019.
