Maybe well documented, but yet another gander at the Anthony Davis injury history might be needed, especially given recent happenings involving the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.

Anthony Davis gave Los Angeles Lakers fans quite the scare when he came down screaming in agony and grabbing his right knee during the fourth quarter of their overtime win over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. It certainly looked like the Lakers superstar had suffered a serious injury based on his immediate reaction. Thankfully, Davis was able to finish the game and even help propel Los Angeles to the win. He even played the second night of a back-to-back against the Oklahoma City Thunder and logged 31 minutes against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.

Nonetheless, despite their up-and-down campaign so far, Laker Nation is just relieved Davis is fine, and they hope that “little stinger” as Davis called his injury is already behind him. With the 8-time All-Star's recent injury scare, let's take a look back on the extensive list of injuries he has had in his career and see just what kind of injury history has his knees gone through.

Davis' first documented knee injury actually happened even before the NBA when he suffered a left knee injury in their Elite Eight game. The former Wildcat was able to return to the game and eventually led Kentucky to the National Championship.

Anthony Davis also had a fine rookie season with the then-New Orleans Hornets. However, the 6-foot-10 big man's season ended prematurely three games before the regular season when he suffered a sprained MCL and bone bruise, again to his left knee.

Near the end of the 2015-16 season, the former New Orleans Pelicans superstar was shut down with 14 games remaining on the schedule due to a season-long shoulder injury along with a left knee injury. His knee injury required him to go under the knife, which kept him out for three to four months during the summer.

In a game early in the 2017-18 regular season versus the Portland Trail Blazers, Anthony Davis was merely jockeying for position down low on the post when his knee buckled. He left five minutes into the game and apparently had already tweaked the knee before tipoff.

Fortunately, Davis ended up missing just one game due to the injury and actually went on to play a career-best 75 games in that season.

While Davis' 2020-21 season ultimately ended with a groin injury, he also suffered a left knee sprain Game 3 in their first round series versus the Phoenix Suns. He may have managed to play through the knee issue, but ultimately succumbed to another injury as the Lakers fell in the first round.

Davis has probably dealt with a lot more knee-related issues throughout his career. With as bad an injury history as the former Kentucky star has, it's likely that he has experienced an injury with just about every part of his body. Looking at his injury history, however, Davis hasn't suffered anything super major to any of his knees, save for when he needed surgery near the end of the 2015-16 season.

Furthermore, it seems like Anthony Davis has dealt with more issues on his left knee than on his right, which was the knee he injured against the Spurs.
