Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is on the brink of losing his job after a dreadful start to the campaign where the club has suffered two consecutive defeats. According to the Telegraph, the Gunners board is giving the Spaniard five more games to turn things around, or else he'll be sacked.

The North Londoners are already eyeing a potential replacement for Arteta, with former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte on their radar. The Italian left Inter at the end of last season after winning the Scudetto and is currently jobless.

Arsenal's struggles aren't solely on the shoulders of Arteta, but unfortunately, he will take the blame. The Gunners have failed to score a goal this term, losing 2-0 to Brentford and London rivals, Chelsea.

Things don't get any easier for the side as they prepare for a daunting clash with reigning champions Manchester City this weekend. It's complete turmoil at Arsenal right now but a change in the dugout could be what's necessary to boost the spirits at The Emirates.

Conte undoubtedly brings a wonderful managerial pedigree to the Gunners if they did hire him in the near future. He helped Romelu Lukaku flourish with Inter before sealing his move to Stamford Bridge for the second time and was also a key part in Inter dethroning Juventus in 2020/21.

Needless to say, changes are coming at Arsenal unless Mikel Arteta can find some positive results.
