According to ESPN's Marc Stein, Matt Barnes, 36, has agreed to sign with the Sacramento Kings on a two-year deal worth $12 million, with a player option in the second year.

This will be Barnes' second stint with the Kings, making a brief stop in his second NBA season in 2004-05; however, he is playing close to his top season in 2013-14, where he averaged 10.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game for the Clippers.

This past season with the Grizzlies, he averaged 10.0 ppg and 5.5 rpg, so given the crazy money being thrown around at this summer's free agency, it is a relatively good deal for Sacramento.

Barnes is known for his hot temper, this past season chasing John Henson into the Milwaukee Bucks’ locker room after an altercation on the court.  He is also famous for his stouch with Derek Fisher involving Barnes ex-wife. Several years back in L.A., he was reportedly arrested twice in less then two years and has paid just over $500,000 in league-issued fines for various on and off court violations since 2011.

Despite his bad boy ways, Barnes had a stand-out year with Memphis and had some great highlights in 2015-16, the pinnacle being the hero against the Pistons in December with this half-court game-winning shot.

If Barnes can continue to focus his intensity on the court with Sacremento, and remain injury free, he could inject a much needed fire into the Kings' squad.
