Barcelona has completely turned around their season after a poor start, bringing in the likes of Ferran Torres and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to bolster their squad in January. As the club looks to strengthen its attack this summer, Xavi and the Barca board are eyeing one of the most clinical finishers in the world.

Per Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona is keen on signing Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski. The Polish international is looking for an extension from the German giants, but they've yet to give him one. Lewa made it clear he's open to exploring opportunities if the club doesn't put a new deal on the table.

Lewandowski is enjoying yet another phenomenal campaign for the Bavarians, already scoring 43 goals across all competitions, including 31 in league action alone. There's little doubt he'd thrive at Barcelona, but it's unlikely Bayern will be willing to let him walk. Lewa fits perfectly into their system, with their entire frontline essentially revolving around him.

His agent, Pino Zahavi, reportedly has a good relationship with Barca president Joan Laporta, which could certainly play a key part in making this a reality. After spending most of his career in the Bundesliga, it would be refreshing to see Robert Lewandowski bagging goals in another top league in Europe.

It will be interesting to see what happens. If Bayern manages to win another Champions League title and he plays an important part though, it seems unlikely he leaves. Lewa already has 12 UCL goals to his name this term.
