The leaks for the new Battlefield game just won't stop. As more official information has come to light, older leaks for the new title are now being verified to be true. Among these is the rumor that the game will be set in the near future. This might turn out to be correct – with the new Battlefield game allegedly called Battlefield 2042. Now that's just about two decades from now, so the near future part really seems to fit in.

However, there are other things that haven't been confirmed yet. The leaker has a lot of other things to share, though. Chief among these is the rumor that the game will have the “biggest maps in Battlefield history.” According to the Reddit user, 2042‘s maps will be comprised of “Sectors,” each of which is around the size of a Battlefield 3 map. That should be big enough for its rumored Battle Royale Mode.

The leaker also claims that players get to pick unique “Professional” classes each, different from the other classes in the same team has. Then, each player can also have extra gadgets that can enhance their primary role. There will also be new attachments to complement this change, with the leaker suggesting that players will be able to swap between attachments in the middle of a heated gunfight.

In terms of release, the leaker believes that a beta will be coming later this month. Perhaps this can finally be confirmed, along with other leaked information, during EA's official reveal day on June 9, Wednesday.
