The Chicago Bears are trying to bounce back after an ugly loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7 action. While Justin Fields has gotten off to a better start against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8, the Bears are already dealing with some new injuries after entering the game without Khalil Mack.

Bears safety Eddie Jackson suffered a hamstring injury on the first possession and is doubtful to return. Running back Damien Williams is questionable to return with a knee injury.

Jackson has been subject to a good amount of scorn this season thanks to a number of high-profile gaffes. Once viewed as one of the most promising young safeties in the NFL because of his big-play ability, he hasn't been able to match the hype for the Bears since the 2018 season.

Williams recently spent time on the reserve/COVID-19 list and missed the game against the Green Bay Packers. He returned for the Buccaneers shellacking but didn't do much. With starting running back David Montgomery still out, rookie Khalil Herbert has impressed at running back and is getting the bulk of the work.

The Bears are 3-4 on the season. While their offense has really struggled with Fields at the helm this season, there's still a lot of promise for the young quarterback.
