The Chicago Bears made waves on Monday after it was announced that they will be hiring Matt Eberflus as the team's new head coach. Eberflus, who previously served as the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts, will now make his way to the Windy City to lead Justin Fields and the rest of the Bears squad.
Fields has already spoken out about Chicago's decision to hire Eberflus and it is clear that the highly-touted 22-year-old quarterback is excited to play for his new coach:
“I really just like the way he carries himself,” Fields said, via Chris Emma of Audacy.com. ” … He knows what he wants to do. He has a plan set in stone. I'm really ready to lead with him.”
Fields is expected to be one of the most important players on the Bears roster next season and it's crucial that he gets along well with Eberflus. It's great to hear that he's already talking up his new coach, but as we all know, playing for what could be an entirely new system under a new regime could pose its challenges for a young quarterback such as Fields.

“I'm willing to do whatever to win,” Fields said. “I'm willing to put however much work there needs to be to win.”
Fields is clearly saying all the right things here and it just feels like this is the beginning of a fruitful relationship. Bears fans will definitely be hoping that this will be the case moving forward.
