Kayla Harrison finally made her decision on her next move in MMA after becoming a free agent last year. Her choices were between coming back to PFL or joining the UFC or Bellator.

The Olympian opted to stay in PFL after they matched Bellator's offer. Scott Coker recently reacted to the news and the Bellator MMA CEO was not holding back.

“With Kayla right now, I don’t know who she’s gonna fight over there,” Bellator MMA CEO Coker told MMA Junkie Radio. “She’s got to fight the girls that are the dominant girls in that weight class, (who) are Cyborg, to me the greatest female fighter of all time, Amanda Nunes, and then Kayla. She’s growing, she’s doing very well, but she’s got to fight somebody to really showcase that she has that ability to fight at that elite level.

“And that’s why we made a run because Cris Cyborg was like, ‘Look, I’ll fight anybody, and let’s get her on.’ And we said, ‘Hey, that would be a fun fight to promote,’ but listen, it didn’t work out. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t, good for them, but we’re gonna move forward with our business with Cris. We’re in the Cris Cyborg business. I just hope they find somebody to fight Kayla at some point.”

Everyone, including Kayla Harrison, seemed disappointed that she didn't sign with Bellator MMA. She would have made a great addition but Scott Coker believes they have a very strong roster regardless.

“Listen, Kayla Harrison, I think she would love to be in Bellator,” Coker said. “We had a great conversation with her, and I think that my staff and her had many conversations during this negotiation and like I said, you win some and you lose some, but we’re moving forward. This is arguably one of the greatest rosters that I’ve been associated with, and I think we’re gonna have a lot of great fights here in the future, and it’s just that sometimes in business, it doesn’t work out.”
