Tyler Eifert has had his season be over for some time now. The Cincinnati Bengals talented tight end had back surgery in October. Since then, he's been using his time to address other medical issues.

Dan Graziano of ESPN reports that Eifert had surgery to remove a cyst from his knee. Eifert had knee trouble over the summer and missed a preseason game while dealing with it.

In regards to the back surgery: “Doc said I'll be recovered to 100 percent, so I was happy to hear that,” Eifert said.

The timing of these medical issues is not ideal. Tyler Eifert will be an unrestricted free agent when the season is over. While some teams might look at him rectifying all these medical issues in a positive light, you just know that there will be others wondering if he has anything left in the tank.

Eifert is only 27-years-old. He was the Bengals' first-round draft pick in 2013. Unless the National Football League franchise puts the franchise tag on him, he might be in Cincy no longer.

Either way, the story here is the tight end getting himself right. He's clearly spending his time on the injured reserve trying to do just that. Good for him. While he's getting surgeries and rehabbing, I am over here drinking a gallon of coffee per day.

Nevertheless, with the Bengals not exactly dominating the NFL, it will be interesting to see what they want to do with Eifert, and if Eifert still wants anything to do with them.
