The Detroit Pistons will play the Chicago Bulls in an Eastern Conference matchup on Tuesday night. It's time continue our NBA odds series with a Pistons-Bulls prediction and pick.
The Pistons and Bulls will play on Tuesday on the heels of rookie Cade Cunningham's huge performance for Detroit on Monday night. Cunningham gave the Utah Jazz the work, racking up 29 points and 8 assists in what was a huge win for the Pistons over the Western Conference powerhouse. The Bulls come in as a powerhouse in their own right as winners of nine of their last ten and as the No. 1 seed in the East. With the Pistons on a back-to-back, Chicago comes into this spot as a huge favorite on their home floor.
Here is how FanDuel has set the Pistons-Bulls odds for this Tuesday NBA matchup.
NBA Odds: Pistons-Bulls Odds

Why The Pistons Could Cover The Spread
Cunningham is starting to deliver on what made him the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. The issue is, most of the time he does not have a ton of help. That changed on Monday night when Saddiq Bey poured in 29 points of his own, but we'll see if the Pistons can offer a repeat performance after traveling to Chicago for the back-to-back. The Bulls will present another tough challenge, and will possess with rest advantage. A cover could be very doable due to the inflated line, but if the Pistons come out with no legs this could get ugly.
Detroit vs. the spread
Article Continues BelowThe Pistons are 19-20 against the spread this season, which isn't great considering how many points they often get (take this game for example). Detroit is 17-18 vs. the spread as an underdog, and 9-11 as an away underdog vs. the line. They are getting a lot of points here, but again on a back-to-back vs. a very good Bulls team.
Why The Bulls Could Cover The Spread
The Bulls will be without Alex Caruso and Patrick Williams in this one, but they should be able to get back into the win column after seeing their nine-game win streak snapped vs. the Dallas Mavericks in their last game. Demar DeRozan and Zach LaVine should be too much for Detroit, but the cover might be tough with the Bulls laying so many points in this spot. Chicago is the much, much better team, but having to cover by nearly 15 is tough vs. any NBA team.
Chicago vs. the spread
The Bulls are a crisp 22-15 vs. the spread so far this season. Chicago is an impressive 17-9 against the spread as a favorite, and 10-5 vs. the line as a home favorite. This will be a tough spot to cover, but the Bulls are definitely capable of blowing teams out on their home floor.
Final Pistons-Bulls Prediction and Pick
This is a tough one. A young team like the Pistons on the second leg of a back-to-back would be easy to fade, but this is a ton of points to lay. Take the Pistons to cover, but the Bulls to win. Cunningham has been rolling of late, and again, this is a lot of points to lay with the Bulls vs. an NBA team.
Final Pistons-Bulls Prediction & Pick: Pistons +13.5 (-110)
