The Phoenix Suns will play the Los Angeles Lakers in a Western Conference matchup on Tuesday evening. It's time continue our NBA odds series with a Suns-Lakers prediction and pick.

The Suns and Lakers will meet on Tuesday in what will be another rematch of their playoff series this past Summer. Chris Paul held the Suns down in the absence of Devin Booker, but Booker has now returned as the duo will look to keep up their dominance so far this season. Phoenix sits as the No. 1 seed in the West with a 24-5 record heading into play on Tuesday. The Lakers are still battling their Covid crisis as they still have several players in the league's health and safety protocols. Phoenix comes into this one as big favorites over the Lakers despite being on the road.

Here is how FanDuel has set the Suns-Lakers odds for this Tuesday NBA matchup.

NBA Odds: Suns-Lakers Odds

Phoenix Suns -7.5 (-110)

Los Angeles Lakers +7.5 (-110)

Why The Suns Could Cover The Spread

The Suns come in as the clear better team in this spot and as the team with less injury issues. Phoenix does not have any players in NBA Covid protocols as of Tuesday morning. Devin Booker returned to the lineup on Sunday evening in what was a blowout win for the Suns over the Charlotte Hornets. This should be another solid spot for a win for the Suns vs. a shorthanded Lakers team. A cover may be difficult as laying this many points on the road against LeBron James is a rare occurrence for any team, but the Suns are one of the teams good enough to blow out the Lakers right now.

Phoenix is 5-4 against the spread as a road favorite this season, and 16-13 overall vs. the spread. The Suns have covered in four of their last five games and could be primed to go on another run with Booker back in the fold.

Why The Lakers Could Cover The Spread

Obviously any time you have LeBron James on your team you have a chance at more than just a cover. This will still be a tough task for the Lakers though as they are missing some key players. Russell Westbrook is healthy, but the Lakers have a long list of other key players missing that includes the following: Kent Bazemore, Avery Bradley, Anthony Davis, Talen Horton-Tucker, Dwight Howard, Malik Monk, Kendrick Nunn and Austin Reaves.

Los Angeles is 6-4 vs. the spread when listed as an underdog this season, but just 6-11 against it at home. The Lakers are 12-19 overall vs. the spread this season and 107 at home outright.

Final Suns-Lakers Prediction and Pick

Los Angeles has not been that good of a team this season even when at full strength. The Westbrook fit as been predictably awkward, though maybe the absence of Anthony Davis in some way makes it easier for he and James to get all of their touches. Still, the absence of Davis hurts quite a bit and the Suns should be able to cover and win in this one if they bring the effort and efficiency that they often do.

Take the Suns to win and cover in this matchup despite laying quite a few points on the road vs. the Lakers.

Final Suns-Lakers Prediction & Pick: Suns -7.5 (-110)
