The Golden State Warriors will pay a visit to San Antonio to take on the Spurs on Saturday night. With that said, it’s a good time to check out our NBA odds series, which includes our Warriors-Spurs prediction, odds, and pick we have laid out below.

The Warriors won their home season-finale against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, 128-112. Klay Thompson had another monster evening, going for 33 points and six 3-pointers. Jordan Poole saw his 17-game streak of scoring 20 points or more come to a close, as he came up just one point short of scoring 20. Nonetheless, he added 11 assists to help Golden State win its third win in a row.

Meanwhile, the Spurs are coming off a 127-121 defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves, led by Anthony Edwards' 49-point outburst. Keldon Johnson scored a team-high 20 points, while Devin Vassell added 18, as eight total San Antonio players scored in double-figures.

Here is how FanDuel has set the Warriors-Spurs NBA odds for this Saturday night NBA matchup.

Why The Warriors Could Cover The Spread

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr already said that they are treating this final stretch of the season as a way to build momentum into the postseason. With that said, look for Golden State to go full throttle in this one, despite giving Klay Thompson the night off. Aside from Thompson, Stephen Curry, and James Wiseman, the Warriors will be fielding in its entire roster as they look to establish their rhythm heading into the playoffs.

Golden State is also playing for playoff positioning. The Warriors (51-29) are currently at the 3rd seed and could still drop to 4th since the Mavericks own the tie-breaker over them. The three-time champs are obviously confident they can compete against any team, as long as they are healthy. But the road to get to the Finals could play a factor heading into these final two games. If they get the three-seed, they potentially get the reigning MVP Nikola Jokic in round one, then the Memphis Grizzlies in round two, should they advance. If they get the no. 4 seed, they take on the Utah Jazz in the first round, then get the no. 1 seeded Suns in the second round.

With just two games remaining, the Warriors could look to make a statement versus the Spurs and prove they can win even without Curry and Thompson. Jordan Poole has been playing magnificently since the All-Star break and has 18 games with at least 19 points or more. Without Dejounte Murray to slow him down, he could go off with another big evening. A strong performance from him could help the Dubs (41-36 ATS record) cover the 6.5-point spread for Saturday.

Golden State would certainly want to take back the way they lost to the Spurs the last time they met. The Warriors lost after they failed to box out Keldon Johnson, who scored the game-winning put-back after a missed free throw from Jakob Poeltl.

Why The Spurs Could Cover The Spread

The Spurs have one of the lowest point differentials in the league, which means they are capable of keeping games close. Even if a guy like Anthony Edwards goes off for 49 points as he did a couple of nights ago, head coach Gregg Popovich is able to motivate this young group to play the right way for 48 minutes, regardless of whoever is on the floor.

San Antonio will be incredibly short-handed for this one, however. Keldon Johnson (knee soreness), Doug McDermott (ankle), Jakob Poeltl (back), and Devin Vassell (heel) are all listed as out. Dejounte Murray also won't suit up as he continues to deal with a non-COVID illness that has kept him out since April 1. Finally, Romeo Langford is listed as questionable due to right hamstring tightness.

That's a lot of bodies out for San Antonio and other guys will have to step up. But don't count them out as they would want to play a character-building game heading into a do-or-die game versus the New Orleans Pelicans in the play-in tournament.

Final WarriorsSpurs Prediction & Pick

The Warriors should be the pick here. San Antonio is missing a ton of their depth, which consist of four of their regular starters. Though Golden State is without Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, they pretty much have everyone aboard and available. Jordan Poole is playing the best basketball of his life, and without Dejounte Murray, he could have another huge night. As mentioned, Steve Kerr is on record saying he wants them to build momentum heading into the postseason.
