The Golden State Warriors will play the New York Knicks on Tuesday in an inter-conference matchup. It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Warriors-Knicks prediction and pick.

The Warriors and Knicks will meet on Tuesday as Stephen Curry is likely set to make history. Curry needs just one more three-pointer to tie Ray Allen's NBA record of 2,973 made threes. Two threes would give Curry the record, which only includes regular season games. Curry already has the total record that includes threes made during the postseason. The Warriors have looked a bit more human of late as Curry as centered in on the record, so perhaps getting this feat out of his and his teammates minds will be a breath of fresh air.

Here is how FanDuel set the Warriors-Knicks odds for this Tuesday NBA matchup.

NBA Odds: Warriors-Knicks Odds

Golden State Warriors -5 (-110)

New York Knicks +5 (-110)

Why The Warriors Could Cover The Spread

Article Continues Below

Golden State has been very, very good this season, but not quite as good of late. The Warriors are still 22-5 on the season and looking like one of if not the favorite to come out of the west. Stephen Curry, who is on the cusp of history on Tuesday night, is off to an MVP-caliber start to the season. Golden State will be looking to win again on Tuesday after picking up a narrow win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday. The Warriors will be at a bit of a rest disadvantage on Tuesday as the Knicks have been off since their Sunday afternoon loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

The fact that Golden State has cooled off but is still 7-3 in their last ten games seems comical, but they were barely losing at all before that. The Warriors still have the best point differential in the NBA and are .5 games ahead of the Phoenix Suns for the No. 1 seed in the West entering play Monday. Golden State is 8-3 on the road this season and 17-8-1 vs. the spread overall.

Why The Knicks Could Cover The Spread

The Knicks come into this one really struggling as losers of six of their last seven games. This will be another tough test as they have the best team in the NBA so far this season coming into town on Tuesday night. New York is just 5-9 at Madison Square Garden this season, and have lost their last four at home. Julius Randle's season of regression continues as the Knicks have not been able to find their mix from last season. Randle is shooting just 42% from the floor and seems to be second-guessing everything. New additions Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier have not helped as much as planned. The Knicks will face an uphill battle in this one.

New York is 5-9 at home this season and 11-16 against the spread overall.

Final Warriors-Knicks Prediction & Pick

Take the Warriors to cover and win in this one despite being on the back-to-back. Steph Curry is very likely to set the all-time three-pointer record and the Warriors should keep rolling after that happens sometime in the first half. New York is scuffling and the Warriors should be able to handle their business in the Garden on Tuesday night.

Final Warriors-Knicks prediction & pick: Warriors -5 (-110)
