The Arizona Cardinals will take on the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC West battle in Week 11. It's time to continue our NFL odds series and make a Cardinals-Seahawks prediction and pick.

Both teams have a lot at stake in this game. The Cardinals are coming off of their worst loss of the season at the hands of the Carolina Panthers, so this is a huge chance to turn things around. A win in this game would deal a huge blow to Seattle's playoff hopes while strengthening Arizona's divisional record, a key stat in a playoff tiebreaker situation. Meanwhile, a win for the Seahawks means that they still have a chance at the postseason. Seattle doesn't have much margin for error left, so every game is pretty much a must-win contest.

Why The Cardinals Could Cover The Spread

Article Continues Below

Assuming that star quarterback Kyler Murray (game-time decision) is active for this game, the Cardinals have a huge upper hand on offense. The Seahawks are one of the worst overall defenses in the NFL, but they especially struggle against opposing passing attacks. Seattle allows an average of 275 passing yards per game, a number that places them as the fourth-worst defense in the league. The Seahawks have also been shredded by the rushing game, as they allow a whopping 125 yards on the ground per game. The Cardinals are one of the most explosive offenses in football, and that will show against this porous defense.

Despite the return of quarterback Russell Wilson, the Seahawks are yet to show up on offense. Wilson returned to action last week after a finger injury and promptly led Seattle to a zero point performance against the Green Bay Packers. Things don't get any easier this week, as Arizona is one of the best passing defenses in the NFL. It's fair to expect Wilson to come in to this game with a little more rust to knock off, which could be enough to kill Seattle's chances against a team as good as the Cardinals.

Why The Seahawks Could Cover The Spread

Even if Murray plays here, the Cardinals still have a mile-long injury report. There are plenty of key players who will have a questionable designation at best in this game. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, safety Budda Baker, edge rusher Chandler Jones, and guard Justin Pugh have all missed practice this week. There are several other starters who also haven't practiced yet, so there's a good chance that the Cardinals are extremely shorthanded in this game.

Home field advantage is always huge for the Seahawks, and this game is no different. Seattle has been significantly better on defense when they play at home, and the offense also operates more comfortably in front of the 12th man. Taking into account the fact that Seattle will likely be playing a bunch of backups here and it's easy to see just how much playing at home could impact this game.

Final Cardinals-Seahawks Prediction & Pick

This is a tough pick, mainly because of the uncertainty surrounding Arizona's injury situation. Instead of picking either side, take the over. Wilson should round into form in this game, and the Cardinals are good enough to score on Seattle no matter who plays quarterback.

Final Cardinals-Seahawks Prediction & Pick: Over: 47.5 (-110)
