Dallas is just two games ahead of the Washington Football Team in the NFC East, as Washington has now won four straight games after their win vs. the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 13. Dallas defeated the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night and have a bit of rest edge this week after playing on short-rest in Week 13. The Cowboys come in as favorites on the road vs. Washington in this huge division contest.

Why The Cowboys Could Cover The Spread

Dallas comes into this spot as the clear better team. The Cowboys are healthy and loaded offensively, having all of their receiving corps for one of just a few times so far this season. Dak Prescott will look to take advantage of a suspect Washington pass defense. Running the ball may be a bit tougher vs. a strong Washington front seven. The Cowboys are an impressive 9-3 vs. the spread this season, but will be faced with the rest of being road favorites in a division game this weekend. The Cowboys defense has continued to wreak havoc behind Trevon Diggs who now leads the NFL with nine interceptions.
Dallas should have a good chance to cover and win on Sunday as the better team. This should be a tough division game vs. a hot Washington team that is riding a four-game win streak into Week 14.
Why Washington Could Cover The Spread
Washington will look to ride their stout run defense and make the Cowboys a one dimensional offense on Sunday. A win would pull Washington within one game of first place behind Dallas, so this is going to be a huge, hard-fought matchup. Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke continues to find ways to make enough plays to win as his weapons. Terry McLaurin and Antonio Gibson continue to succeed in their roles as go-to players. Washington did lose tight end Logan Thomas last week in their win over the Las Vegas Raiders, so that will be a blow to their offense. The Football Team will be looking to extend their winning streak to five games in this one as they come into Week 14 as one of the hotter teams around the league.
Washington is a good pick to cover and win as a four-point home underdog Sunday vs. the Cowboys. They are just 5-7 vs. the spread this season. It's always nice to get this many points in a division game though, especially when the home team is the one getting them.
