The Baltimore Orioles look to grab a division win as they face the Tampa Bay Rays.  It is time to continue our MLB odds series with a Rays-Orioles prediction and pick.

The Rays enter the series winning two of their last three and sitting at 28-29 on the year. That places them tied for third in the division with the Red Sox, eight games behind the second-place Orioles. The Oriole enter the series after taking two of three from the Red Sox and have won six of their last seven before the series. They will play game one of the series on Friday night. The Rays will send Aaron Civale to the mound for this one. He is 2-4 with a 5.72 ERA. The Orioles send Albert Suarez to the mound. Suarez is 2-0 with a 1.53 ERA.

Why The Rays Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Rays are 22nd in the majors in runs scored this year while sitting 23rd in batting average, 18th in on-base percentage, and 28th in slugging. Isaac Paredes has been amazing this year. He is hitting .295 on the year with a .389 on-base percentage. He has ten doubles and ten home runs this year, good for 32 total RBIs and 24 runs scored. Meanwhile, Yandy Diaz is also driving in runs. He is hitting .242 on the year with a .316 on-base percentage. Diaz has ten doubles and four home runs, leading to 25 RBIs and 22 runs scored.

Jose Caballero is also having an amazing year. He is hitting .251 with a .306 on-base percentage. He has stolen 20 bases and scored 24 times. Further, Caballero has nine doubles, and two home runs, good for 16 RBIs. Meanwhile, Randy Arozarena is struggling some. He is hitting just .159 on the year with a .285 on-base percentage. He is hitting .258 on the year with a .354 on-base percentage. He has six doubles, four triples, and 18 home runs. This has led to 41 RBIs and 42 runs scored. Henderson has also stolen seven bases. Meanwhile, Jordan Westburg is third on the team in RBIs. He is hitting .291 on the year with a .351 on-base percentage. Westburg has 11 doubles, three triples, and eight home runs, helping get him to 34 RBIs. He has also stolen five bases and scored 28 times.

Adley Rutschman is also being highly productive. He is hitting .299 on the year with a .336 on-base percentage. Rutschman has ten home runs this year and 37 RBIs. He has also scored 29 times this year. Rounding out the top bats is Anthony Santander. He is hitting .204 on the year with a .287 on-base percentage. Santander has 11 doubles and nine home runs, leading to 29 RBIs. He has also scored 26 times.

Final Rays-Orioles Prediction & Pick

Not only do the Orioles have the better offense and better pitching, they have the much better starting pitcher in this one. Kyle Bradish may have just one win this year but the Orioles have won in four of the five games he has started. In the other game, they fell 3-1, struggling to score. They should not struggle to score in this one, with Taj Bradley on the mound for the Rays. Take the Orioles in this one.
