The Seattle Storm take on the Minnesota Lynx. Our WNBA odds series has our Storm Lynx prediction, odds, and pick. Find out how to watch Storm Lynx.

The Seattle Storm are one of the two hottest teams in the WNBA right now, the New York Liberty being the other. The Storm have won six games in a row, but more than that, they just hammered the defending league champion Las Vegas Aces on the road on Friday night. The Storm led at halftime and continued to play well in the second half. They controlled virtually the whole game against Vegas and showed that they are definitely part of the league's upper tier. The Storm and Aces are two of the WNBA's five best teams, and Seattle looked like the better side on Friday. Now the Storm take on another of the WNBA's five best teams, the Minnesota Lynx.

Minnesota is coming off a stinging Friday night loss in Phoenix against the Mercury. Minnesota led 77-71 with just over 1:15 left but then allowed Phoenix's Kahleah Copper to hit multiple 3-point shots, including the game winner in the final seconds. The Lynx lost 81-80 and have to be mad at themselves for letting that game slip away.

These two teams, Seattle and Minnesota, met twice in the first week of the season, so they are very familiar with each other. The Lynx won both games in the middle of May, but as you can see, the Storm have become a very different — and much better — team since then.

Why The Storm Could Cover The Spread

The Storm are white-hot right now, bringing the thunder and lightning to the court every night and swamping the opposition. Seattle is playing elite basketball right now. Everything is clicking at both ends of the floor. The pieces have come together for a team which expected to play at a high level and is finding ways to sustain that quality over multiple weeks. It is really hard to bet against a team which is playing this well.

Why The Lynx Could Cover The Spread

The fact that the Lynx are coming off a loss, and that the Storm have won six in a row, could be seen as ample reason to pick against Minnesota here, but that loss to Phoenix could make the Lynx a little more urgent in how they go about their business. Minnesota was actually playing really well before the Phoenix loss, and even then, the Lynx still did lead by six with just over 1:15 left. They were in a position to cover the spread as a 4.5-point road favorite before allowing the Mercury to hit big 3-point shots late in the game. The Lynx are a good team. They will find a way to win in a game which has a very small (2.5-point) spread. Seattle is also probably due for some regression after hitting all the right notes for two consecutive weeks.

Final Storm-Lynx Prediction & Pick

This game is tough to call, but as great as the Storm have been, the Lynx are probably going to be a little angry after the loss to the Phoenix Mercury. Minnesota will play with more urgency. Take the Lynx.

Final Storm-Lynx Prediction & Pick: Lynx -2.5
